Swim Lesson's for Miah

Thursday was "safety day" at Miah's swim class. So the first few minutes they all sat in a circle and discussed different scenario's that could happen around a pool.

Teacher: "So a little boy is eating a big meal with his family out by the pool. He gets done eating and runs off and jumps in the pool. What did he do wrong?"

Miah: "He didn't put his plate in the sink."

We had a great experience with Miah taking swim lessons. Mandy Lira is a local 19-year old girl, who did a great job as a swim instructor from her home. Miah grew in confidence and skill through out the 2 weeks. The last few days she was jumping off the diving board in the deep end and swimming all the way to the shallow end. She also looks so adorable in her little goggles. There were a few crying moments, a few frustrated moments. Miah happened to be the youngest kid in her class, by 2-3 years, so she was the smallest and least experienced, so she needed extra help. I am so glad she took the class, and we might do it again next year.

That conversation is hilarious! So cute! My girls are taking swim lessons right now too. They love it and so do I. They've come a long way this summer in improving their skills. Makes me happy!

I just have to say that I was shocked at how much Miah learned swim lessons! She was swimming like a mermaid (not allowed to say like a fish) the other day when we took her swimming with us!
