I haven't taken time lately to write much, so I thought I would share a few thoughts from our day at the beach.
First, we totally want our own lake house someday. On Lake Michigan, nothing big, small, quaint, but ours. Anytime we want to get away to the beach, we won't have to decide which beach to go to. We won't have to pack so much stuff. We won't have to find a parking spot. We will have our own bathroom and fridge. And most importantly, no one else will be there, unless we invite them. Sounds like heaven to us!!!! (Now I know there is all the "lake house upkeep" etc, etc. but right now I don't really care about that!)
Second, the water was amazing, refreshing, and so beautiful. The dunes, as always, were beautiful and challenging to climb. The kids had a blast. I love the sun, but I must say, I had enough!
Even though, I looked forward to going to the beach, I enjoying packing a picnic and all the beach supplies, and it was a perfect beach day.... I am always so so so HAPPY to be home!! Did I say that with enough emotion? I am so so so so HAPPY to be home!!!!!
A few other highlights.... Miah is gaining confidence in the water. She is even swimming for 10 - 15 seconds on her own. And she starts swim lessons tomorrow, so I think she is going to catch on really quickly! Cameron made it up the huge sand dune in one long sprint. So strong and fast. Jalen is our fish. Every family has one right? No matter where we are, he is in a pool, pond or beach as long as anyone will let him.
