Family Photo

We had 2 seconds before heading to a wedding a few weeks ago, so we snapped a family photo. Here we are all spiffy.

Currently I am reading 13 books. I have finished 4 of them, 1/2 way through 4 of them. I read as much as possible. When I'm on the treadmill, when I wait in the car to pick the kids up from practice, basically if I am sitting down any time during the day I am reading, taking notes, highlighting. This picture shows my favorite 4 books right now. So many good books, some days I wish I could stay in bed all day and just read. Maybe the first day of school I will do that. Well I would probably get hungry, and then antsy, but just maybe I will try it.

"God has reserved momentous victories and great rewards for us. But we'll never make it to our milestones if we can't make it through our moments." - Beth Moore

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Psalm 145:18
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Someone please pinch me......

I really cannot express how fun life is right now. There is so much joy bubbling inside of me, I actually feel bad about feeling so good. God is such a good God and so very faithful. I feel so blessed every single day. I love my family, I love my job ( I get paid to work-out!!!!), I love my home, I love my husband. Super pumped about all that God is doing in our lives and hearts.

I am going through a great Beth Moore study with a small group of ladies. It is so nice to be a part of it, and I am actually liking the homework (about 30+ minutes a day).

I juiced today. Kale and Carrots. I wish I could start every morning with 8 oz. of fresh vegetable juice, I am amazed how much energy I have and how good I feel with all that healthy stuff in my body. (I know that I could if I took the time to juice everyday....)

I am looking forward to celebrating Valentines Day. Usually I think of this as a silly "hallmark" holiday.... but this year I kinda want some silly romantic day. It just sounds fun!

Life in 2012

We are full blown into Science Fair Projects here at our house. We are preparing for the I-Steps. Next week, Miah is the STAR attraction in her 1st grade classroom. This month, Jalen is Student of the Month. Lots of great things going on around here.

Tomorrow I am having a Wellness Party at my home. You are all invited. :) I can't wait. I am currently working 3 part-time jobs. I am loving my job at Peakfast. I know teach 3 Spinning classes each week, and one strength training class. I am blessed with a great job at a great health club.
Juice Plus is my part-time job from home. I love Juice Plus and love encouraging others to focus on their health and focus on health for their children. A strong immune system is important to all of us, I would hope! (www.jennymaustjuiceplus.com)
I am also working part-time for Leader Legacy. I am so thankful to be able to do paperwork, computer, web-site, etc. type of work for Leader Legacy. Leader Legacy is the company Justin has founded. He is a certified member of the John Maxwell Team and he is focused on what God has called him to do. I love it. He loves it. Everyday I smile and thank God that we are where we are and doing what we are doing, I am overwhelmingly blessed.

I sell Juice Plus!

Yes, I said it!

And I am excited about it. I am not a salesman at all. I am a health researcher, fitness trainer, frugal mom and helpful wife.
I love to read books on nutrition. I love to research nutrients, vitamins, foods, etc. I aim to feed my family well, and keep everyone healthy. We have bought and taken many 'vitamins, supplements, powdered drinks'. Many of them good. The struggle I have had is finding one product that I really liked and that was affordable for my whole family.

I was looking for:
1. Quality supplement
2. Affordable for a family of 5.

My in-laws started taking Juice Plus awhile ago, they feel the difference it is making in their health, and they talk to people all the time who have medical issues clear up after being on Juice Plus for a few months. Fruits and Vegetables are what our bodies need.

My family eats lots of vegetables and fruits. Do we get enough? No way. Do we eat red beets and kale everyday? No. When we do have broccoli and cabbage is it raw or cooked? Often it is cooked.

I am so excited about the product Juice Plus. It is not a vitamin. It comes in capsules or chewable form. It is real, whole, raw fruits and vegetables that are juiced and condensed to a powder and put into a capsule. The phyto-nutrients are easily absorbed by the body. We need to keep eating as many fruits and vegetables as possible, but this guarantees that we (and our kids) are getting them EVERYDAY.

In a nut shell, it cost $41 a month for one person. If you are a grand-parent or parent then you can register a child with you for FREE. Isn't that awesome?

After researching Health for about 5 years, I am now thrilled to tell people about Juice Plus, I believe in it. I take it. My kids take it. My husband takes it.

I also love that they only offer 3 products. That's it!!!

1. Fruit/Vegy Capsules. Adults take 2 of each every day. $41/month (capsules or chewable)
2. Vineyard Blend - This is a very powerful antioxidant blend of berries
3. Protein powder (chocolate or vanilla) Taste great, filled with great stuff! You can make protein shakes, meal re-placement shakes, or smoothies.

So For an adult and a child. I pay $46 a month. Meaning that it cost $23 for me and $23 for Miah. Less than $1.00 a day for us both to get: apple, orange, pineapple, cranberry, peach, cherry, papaya, carrot, parsley, beet, kale, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, tomato, oat bran, rice bran. Everyday. So even though most days I eat a big salad, eat raw carrot sticks, celery sticks. I never get all 17 of those fruits and vegetables, not even on a really good day.

I whole heartily recommend Juice Plus to everyone. It just makes sense.

The Birth of Juice Plus (written by the founder of JuicePlus)

Before I tell you about the research behind JuicePlus+®, I'd like to tell you the personal story that led tothe development of this whole-food product. When we're experiencing a trauma or other significant event, we don't always fully understand it until it has passed, and then we realize that it has changed our lives for the better. Living a life is a lesson itself and is always teaching us something; we just have to learn how to interpret the direction it is taking us. Even a chronic illness is pointing us in a specific direction, as I learned when my father got sick. It was 1980 and I was on a lecture tour, teaching herbal seminars in Denver, Colorado. During a break, I received a phone call from my father. He told me his spleen had swollen to the size of a football. It was so large he was using one of his Marine Corp belts to hold it up and it was so painful that he could hardly move. My mother made an appointment for him at a nearby hospital, where the doctors could not believe how large his spleen had grown--and it was still growing. At the end of the day, my dad called me again and said he was diagnosed with lymphoma, cancer of the lymphatic system. I was so stunned I couldn't even reply. I just held the phone, praying that I didn't really hear what he had said. My throat closed up, so tight I could hardly breathe. He felt my shock and distress and told me everything was going to be okay. Being a naturopath and teaching people for years how to live by the laws of nature, I had to ask myself, why did this have to happen? (Don't we all wonder why, when somethingso traumatic happens to us?) I told my dad I'd be home in four days as soon as my tour was over. By the time I got there, his doctors had already removed his spleen and started chemotherapy. I was floored, totally irate. No questions had been asked--they just did the surgery and started pumping him full of drugs. After three weeks, my father had lost 40 pounds and nothing was working. The chemotherapy had failed and there was nothing more they could do. His doctor called our family together and told us my dad had no more thanthree weeks to live. After breaking the news to my dad, Iasked if he'd like to try natural therapy at my clinic in Tucson,Arizona, where I would take care of him. He said, "I would have come to you before this, but I didn't want you to be responsible if anything bad would have happened to me."I picked him up and carried him out of the hospital without even checking him out. By the time we got to Tucson, he weighed 136 pounds, and his cancer was traveling so fast through his body that he couldn't eat or drink. How do you nourish somebody who can't eat or drink? I started massaging him every day with olive oil so his body would absorb the fat through his skin.He could only sip water, so I devised a plan to get more nutrients in through another route. I built a slant-board for him to lie on, made fresh green juice with kale, parsley, and some additional liquid chlorophyll, and used an enema bag to feed him through the bowel with this juice daily. As he got stronger, he was able to drink vegetable juices by mouth. Fruit juices, however, made him feel ill becauseof their sugar. You don't want to feed cancer cells sugar, because they thrive on it; plus, it acidifies the body, puttingan even greater strain on a sick person's system. I wanted to find a way to get more concentrated nutrition into his body to increase his strength and boost his healing, and it occurred to me that if I could juice the vegetables anddry the juice, the powder would be more concentrated thanthe juice itself. I set up some small dryers in my office andfound that it would take hours to dry the juice, but it worked.I'd give him tablespoons of vegetable juice powder stirredinto small amounts of water daily. To my amazement--keepin mind, at that time we knew nothing about phytochemicals--in two months he put on 30 pounds. There was no meat orcarbohydrates other than tablespoons of dried vegetablejuice in his diet. I wondered, how could someone put on somuch weight without eating? He then got to the point where he could also drink fruitjuice powder without feeling ill, so he'd have fruit juicepowder in the morning and vegetable juice powder the restof the day. I gave him very little fruit juice powder, though,as I noticed that if I gave him too much, his urine's pH wouldturn acidic. I also added proteolytic enzymes and someherbs to the regime. I was constantly changing the dosagesof his supplements according to his pH, using the monitoringsystem in my book, ProMetabolics. The results were astonishing. Within three months ofmy taking over his treatment, my father got out of bed andremodeled my kitchen. He had been a carpenter his wholelife and loved working with wood. Continuing on a nutritionalprogram of eating large amounts of vegetables, dried juicepowders, and soaked and sprouted seeds and nuts, he wentback to work within six months and worked as a carpenterfor another six years. It's my opinion that he'd still be alive today if his doctors had not removed his spleen and givenhim such high doses of drugs during his hospitalization. From my father's recovery, I realized the hidden healingpower of whole foods, so I began studying all fruits andvegetables known to man, and I learned that some weremuch more nutrient-dense than others. Ironically, the ones most concentrated in nutrients were the ones most people didn't eat at all, or always cooked before eating: parsley, beets, cabbage, and broccoli, to name a few. Experimenting over several months, I created one concentrated juice-powder formula with fruits and another with vegetables--the most nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables on the planet. Soon my clinic looked more likea produce-drying facility, and everyone who came to me, regardless of the problem, was given a bag of each powder. The healings that I observed were no less than miraculous; I knew I was on to something big when my patients were getting well so fast. The formulas I used in my clinical practice are now themost wonderful line of fruit and vegetable concentrates, called Juice Plus+®. I designed and patented these products, and NSA, LLC in Memphis, TN, manufactured, distributed, and promoted them. Benefiting thousands of people in over 30 countries, Juice Plus+® is the mostresearched nutraceutical in the world today. (For detailedinformation, see: www.DoctorForJuicePlus.com ) Just before my father died, he was so concerned about my professional reputation that he said, "If I die, will people still believe in you? Will they still buy your books?" I said, "Dad, what we accomplished together, this idea of concentrated fruits and vegetables, someday will be known all over the world." And that's exactly what happened. My father's recovery gave birth to the most wonderful product line of fruit and vegetable concentrates, Juice Plus+®. My father taught me pride and honor. He would tell me that a man's word is all he has. In over 50 years of being a carpenter, he never once had a written contract with anyone--only an agreement of a smile, honor, and love. He will always own a piece of my heart. I know he is always with me; he's my strength and motivation.
