Got great deals grocery shopping today... even ended up with a $15.00 Target gift card as a bonus for my great deals. YIPPEE

I decided that instead of one day being your Birthday, it really should be the whole week, so I am celebrating all week long.

So excited for the 5K race on Sunday... seriously can't wait!

Tonight's to do list:

Soccer practice
Run 6 miles
Make homemade granola
Juice - kale, lemon, celery, carrot, apple
Laugh, Play, Pray, & Homework with kiddo's
Watch some of "Biggest Loser" (only the good parts)
Read

Strong. Brave. Beautiful.

"I'm strong, and brave and beautiful and I'm gonna ride my bike today!" This is the line Justin taught Miah to say as she learned to ride her bike with NO TRAINING WHEELS!!!!!
Miah's training wheels were not working right on her bike for quite some time now, so she hasn't wanted to ride bike at all. And our family rides bike a lot, so we decided we might as well take the training wheels off and let her give it a go. So Sunday night and then again tonight, Justin got her bike all ready and gave her lessons. I got all the necessary pads/helmet in place, and the boys and I did our riding while we cheered Miah on. To our amazement, she did it. Not really the first night, but tonight she totally went like 30 seconds with Justin running beside her (not holding on at all). And she did it 3 or 4 times and she steered on her own, so cool. She was so proud of herself, and I must say, we were all very proud of our little Miah as well. The theme of the whole night was, Strong, brave and beautiful. She repeated that over and over again.

For those who haven't heard of the Pepsi Refresh Project, I will give some brief info. Basically Pepsi is giving away a TON of money!!! They started this REFRESH PROJECT in January or February. Each month starts a new cycle. They only take about 1,000 "ideas"/"causes" each month. And Five Star made it in for the month of MAY.

Five Star has 5 ideas in the running.
Three of the ideas are in the running for $50,000.
Two are in the running for $25,000.
So Five Star could get a possible $200,000 if all ideas are winners!!!!! (To win we need to be in the top 10, for each category)
Pretty cool opportunity and it doesn't cost people anything to vote, which is great!!

So Justin and I along with the entire Five Star team will be working like crazy over the next 31 days to rally as many votes as possible. The voting began this morning at 6:00am, and Five Star is in about 10th place for all 5 ideas right now. There are 4 Dollar Amount Categories; $5,000, $25,000, $50,000, and $250,000. There are 5 different Idea Categories.... lots of details, but basically, the TOP 10 "ideas" in the $25,000 category and the TOP 10 "ideas" in the $50,000 will all win the Grant Money. So we feel like Five Star has a good chance to win. Five Star did not submit ideas for the $250,000 slot because only the top 2 "ideas" in that category win the grant money.
