Surely Goodness and Love will follow me

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the quiet waters.
3He restores my soul;
He guides me in paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

So proud of my boys, they memorized this Psalm along with The Lord's Prayer. Our whole family has been singing/practicing Psalm 23 everywhere we go, morning, noon and night. I had it memorized from when I was younger, but now Justin and even Miah have most of it memorized because they've heard it so much. It has also led to some really great discussions on what it's all about. Way to go Cameron and Jalen!!!!!!!

That is so encouraging! I actually woke up this morning with a memory in my mind of how I memorized Psalm 23 in Kindergarten (granted, I went to a Christian school)!
This reminds me of Psalm 1:2-3. Meditating on God's word day and night brings a promises of prospering in God's ways (paraphrase). :-)
What an amazing gift to give your children, teaching them to hide God's word in their heart and then meditating on it throughout the day and night.
Thanks for the encouragement!
