Summer Fun!

This has been a great summer. We have not said Yes to a lot of things, so we have had lots of just normal life, rest, fun, late nights, good books, picnics, bike rides, spontaneous things, I love it.
This week is the first major somewhat commitment. All three kids are at VBS, and they love it! It is at a great place, great people, and we didn't plan on doing it, we just decided the day of, and went signed up and there we go!
We have a few things planned yet with family and friends, but keeping everything open and just enjoying life.
Take it Easy!

New Favorite Song

Verse 1:
This is my prayer in the desert
And all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is the God who provides

Verse 2:
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

Chorus:
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

Verse 3:
And this is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

Bridge:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

Verse 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow

I love this song, I wish I could add in a link so you could all play it, but I am not that technically advanced, if anyone knows how and wants to teach me, let me know!
If you've never heard it you can go to imesh.com and do a search for 'desert song' and play it for free.

Family Trip to the THUMB

Justin and I grew up in the Thumb of Michigan, that is, Caseville or Pigeon (Over 2 hours North of Detriot). Now we only get up there about 3 times a year. It was nice to run into so many familiar faces, and also see 'kids' who are now adults! My mom had everything ready and the fridge full!

This year we had a special surprise visit from my brother, Bill, and his family (Carol, Jakey and Drew), they live in southern California, so it was a big trip for them with 2 small children!
My sister and her family (Ty, Josey and Baby Addison) came also, she has a new little baby (as you see in the pictures).
We all had fun watching the 7 kids swim, climb, ride bikes, do sparklers, putt putt, big slide, slip-n-slide, etc.
It is always nice to spend time with family. Family is important, they care more than we know, they love more than we think, and they will be there for us through good and bad. Never take your family for granted. Enjoy them, appreciate each person's unique traits and don't forget to tell them you love them.

I know I love mine!
